Student Exchange Programs

General Information

CENTRUM Católica offers you the opportunity to participate in student exchange programs with universities and business schools in Europe, North America and Oceania.

What is the student exchange program?

It is a reciprocal exchange of students between institutions, with a limited number of places per school or university.

Among the factors to be considered for selection are, first, the student's academic performance and meeting the language requirements of the university. Announcements are transmitted by electronic communication to students and graduates.

Rules for applicants

Students or graduates of CENTRUM Católica applying to the various exchange student programs for any institution abroad with which the school has an agreement must consider the following: 

  • Before applying, carefully read the information available for the exchange you are interested in.
  • Verify that the period of exchange does not interfere with another activity.
  • Find out about the costs of airfare, lodging, food and living costs in the country of the exchange.
  • Students who apply, after assessing the conditions of the exchange, should be aware that during the period of the exchange they are temporarily removed from their programs. Returning exchange students must re-enter and complete the master's degrees or specialized master’s degree in CENTRUM Católica with the following class. 
  • Preselected candidates will have a personal interview with the directors involved.
  • Those selected must provide a letter of commitment that they accept the exchange and are committed to cover all expenses and transactions involving travel. 
  • Those selected are responsible for preparing and complying fully with the financial, legal and academic commitment implied to implement of this activity.
Requirements for Participation

Active students or graduates of masters or specialized masters programs who comply with the specified deadlines for expressing their interest in participating and meet the following requirements are eligible to participate in the exchange programs: 

  • Students or graduates of masters or specialized masters programs.
  • Proficiency in English at an advanced level.
  • Have or have had a high level of performance during their studies at CENTRUM Católica.
  • Letter of commitment to bear the costs of airfare, accommodation and living costs during the exchange period. 
  • Download commitment letter.
  • Fill out the registration form (according to the university being applied to) and send it with the other documents within the established deadline.
  • Curriculum Vitae.
  • Be up to date in your payments.
  • Interview with directors.
  • After you have returned, fill the "Formato de evaluación -Programas de Intercambios" Online.
In Charge of Selection

The CENTRUM Católica Admission Council will be in charge of selecting those who participate in the exchanges. It is composed of the following directors:

  • Academic Director .
  • Director of CENTRUM Alliances.
  • Director of Admissions, Registration and Academic Support.
  • Director MBA / Senior Management.
  • Decisions made by the Council regarding the student exchange are final.
Selection Criteria

The exchange students who will participate abroad each year will be selected according to the following general criteria:

  • Academic performance.
  • The candidate’s motivation, skills and abilities to successfully complete the program.
  • Recommendation of the respective Program Coordinator.
  • Personal interview.
Visa Procedures

Those selected must conduct the necessary visa procedures at the respective embassy and assume the costs of obtaining the visa.

CENTRUM Católica will provide those selected with letters to support their visa applications.

Academic Sanctions

If the applicant is selected and then says he/she cannot travel for various reasons, it will prevent the possibility of another applicant from being able to participate in the exchange. For this reason, the candidate who was selected by the Admissions Council will be unable to reapply for any other student exchange.
